P E R C - Pressurized Exhaust Rodent Controller
Environmentally Friendly! No Poison Baits!
No Explosions!
Pressurized exhaust kills burrowing rodents.
Carbon Monoxide is a very potent poison for use in euthanizing burrowing rodents. Until now, there has been no inexpensive, efficient delivery system.
The PERC is an elegant solution: An internal combustion engine is used to both generate carbon monoxide and pressurize it to 125 PSI. Using multiple probes, burrows are easily detected and instantly filled with a lethal concentration of carbon monoxide before a rodent has a chance to react or escape.
We manufacture four models of PERC Pressurized Exhaust Rodent Controllers:
-
PERC 412, a four- hose trailer mounted unit with a 13hp gas engine,
-
PERC 206, a two-hose skid mounted unit with a 6.5hp gas engine,
-
PERC 206T, a two-hose unit with a 6.5hp gas engine mounted on a turf-tired trailer.
-
PERC 620 6-hose unit geared to the expanding custom operator and the large acreage farmer.

Points of Interest
- Gopher mounds are probed, not dug out.
- Multiple probes are used in a single burrow.
- No special use permits are required.
- Crop stands are not damaged.
- No poison baits.
- No explosions or explosive devices.
While baits, traps, shooting, blowing up burrows, and conventional
low-pressure auto exhaust delivery systems all work, nothing is as
effective, efficient and inexpensive as the PERC
system. A PERC system can treat moderately infested
alfalfa fields at about 3.5 acres per hour with a single operator.
2006 tests conducted by the University of California Extension
Service show that the PERC can reduce gopher populations by 66 percent
and ground squirrel populations by 75 percent in a single treatment.
Gophers, prairie dogs, and ground squirrels cost farmers and landscapers millions of dollars every year!
Gophers, prairie dogs, and ground squirrels can cause production losses of 20-50 percent in pastures and alfalfa. Equipment breakdowns and dirt contaminated hay cause huge economic losses to the farmer. Trees and vines girdled and killed by gophers can destroy the economic viability of an orchard or vineyard. The PERC (Pressurized Exhaust Rodent Controller) is a new, environmentally friendly, cost effective system for significantly reducing burrowing rodent populations on large acreage farms. Residential homeowners as well as landscape professionals will appreciate the noninvasive control PERC provides.
PERC is also a powerful compressor that can be used in the field. Compressed and cooled exhaust (carbon monoxide) is safer than compressed air when used for blowing out equipment such as hay bailers, where loose flammable material may come in contact with hot components.
Comanche Creek Enterprises, LLC sells the PERC Pressurized Exhaust
Rodent Controller to the western United States
